The planets are aligning now in a way that strongly advocates radical change. These are not times for simple adjustments, but deep fundamental changes. To ignore it is folly.
In the I Ching or The Book of Changes there is a hexagram which represents the kind of change we are undergoing now; the hexagram Po/Splitting Apart. This is what it looks like:

A LOOK AT OUR PRESENT SATURN-PLUTO CYCLE
The ongoing Saturn-Uranus opposition (progress vs. the satus quo) continues throughout 2009, creating changes to the old forms. Meanwhile the tension builds between Saturn and Pluto as they begin to form a cardinal square in November 2009. This is the Last Quarter Square in the Saturn-Pluto cycle, which began with the conjunction in 1983. Saturn's energy combined with Pluto is a study in the use or misuse of power, control and authority. It often involves power struggles or shifts of power,leadership and authority. Pluto governs wealth and resources, so these are often a part of the events, often trade alliances are formed or change.
When well-handled, we know our limits and responsibilities and abide by them. Ideally we tear down and rebuild (Pluto) the structures (Saturn) that are no longer working. It is a natural process which creates healthy growth, if one goes along with it. If we ignore the cosmic intention, not making the needed changes then Nature will take over. Crisis events which force us to deal with issues that have reached a limitation, outlived their purpose and need to change.
Pluto is like a laxative. If we haven't been cleaned out in awhile, it could be an explosive event. Of course, we could have eaten a little yogurt along the way which would have made the elimation process much gentler!
